Mayor and Council Adopt Rockville’s First Climate Action Plan
Rockville joined the ranks of hundreds of U.S. cities on Jan. 10 as the Mayor and Council approved the city’s first plan for addressing climate change. The Climate Action Plan sets forth 26 community actions and 16 city actions to reduce climate-warming pollution and foster resilience, especially for the city’s most vulnerable neighborhoods.

City Legend to Retire After 67 Years
After close to seven decades of service to the Rockville community, an iconic city employee and City Hall fixture is finally calling it quits. Elaine Crutchfield Hebron, affectionally known among staff and the local community as “Ms. Elaine,” retired in December. Hebron joined the city in 1954, providing transportation for the city’s after-school program.
