The Mayor and Council will consider implementing a new rate structure for city water and sewer service together with new service rates, beginning in early 2021, as part of Fiscal Year 2022 budget deliberations. This is a change from the previously publicized process. Presentations and public hearings on the rate structure have been postponed.

The Mayor and Council will continue their work on the Fiscal Year 2022 budget with a work session as part of their meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9. The work session will include a review of the budget calendar and survey and a budget preview from city staff.

The presidential general election will take place Tuesday, Nov. 3, with early voting centers and all polling locations open. You may still register to vote. Register in person at an early voting center through Monday, Nov. 2, or at a polling location on Nov. 3. Poll hours are 7 a.m.-8 p.m.

Montgomery County remains in the second of three reopening phases, with reopening guidelines limiting office use and encouraging telework.
