Charter Review Commission
The Charter Review Commission was formed by the Mayor and Council in April 2012 to review and evaluate Article II, Section 1(a), and Article III, Section 4 of the City Charter regarding:
The commission will solicit citizen input regarding these issues, and will present a final report to the Mayor and Council by December 15, 2012. The report will outline findings, recommendations and any proposals for amendments to the charter or changes to the City’s code.
The commission is comprised of 11 Rockville residents and will begin its work this summer. It is anticipated that members will meet one to two times per month.
The Mayor and Council are expected to make final appointments to the commission in June.
Residents interested in serving on the commission should send a resume and an expression of interest form, which can be found at www.rockvillemd.gov/government/commissions to dbarber@rockvillemd.gov. The deadline for applications is Monday, June 4 at 5 p.m.
