The Rockville Senior Center serves as the central location for programs and services related to aging in Rockville. If you are age 60 or older, you can find information on transportation, housing or Medicare; take an educational or art class; improve your fitness; or find a fun trip to join.
Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is also open evenings and weekends for programs and private rentals.
A nutritional lunch is served Monday through Friday for a nominal cost, and door-to-door bus service is available during the week for residents to the center, shopping, club meetings and special trips.

Summer 2012 Recreation and Parks guides are available for pick up at the Rockville Senior Center or online here. Summer 2012 class guides will not be mailed, so visit the senior center, or other city facility to pick up your copy.

Purchase a Membership Before Rates Go Up
Save money when you purchase a membership now - rates will go up July 1. Fitness memberships will increase from $50 to $75.

Picasso: The Bluebeard of Art
Wednesday, May 16, 10:30 a.m. – noon
Fernande, Olga, Marie-Therese, Dona Maar, Francoise and Jacqueline were all Picasso’s muses, probably inspirations for major changes and developments in his artistic style. Yet, were his wives and mistresses also casualties of his ego and fame? This program will cover the relationship between the major women in Picasso’s life and his creative vision. Course No. 38751. Brain Fitness
Tuesday, May 22, 1-2:30 p.m.
Barbara Wilson, Counselor, invites you to join her in a 90 minute Brain Fitness Activity Session that will include brain games and strategies to help you improve your memory and maintain cognitive abilities as you age. Course No. 38758. Cost is free, members and residents; $3, nonresidents.
Movie Special Effects
Thursday, May 24, 1- 2:30 p.m.
This illustrated lecture will provide an inside look at special effects in movies. Starting with a little history, we will quickly move to recent films that feature special effects from stop motion to blue screen to motion control. Come with questions about your favorite films and learn “how did they do that?” Course No. 38787. Cost is $4, members; $6, residents; $9, nonresidents.
