Location: Welsh Park, 355 Martins Lane behind the Swim Center. Youth 17 and under must have their parents sign the waiver/release form as well. Children under age 10 must be accompanied by an adult. *Agreement must be signed by parent/guardian if participant is 17 years of age or younger. Season: Spring through October; weather permitting.
Skate Park Rental: Parties and Special Events Available on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 10:00 a.m.—12:00 p.m. for birthday parties and special events. Picnic area, exclusive use of Skate Park, and birthday shirt. Safety gear can be provided. $150/Residents; $200/Non-Residents. Call 240-314-8643 for more information. Camps: Camps are available for all levels of skaters. Camps will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon Monday through Thursday (raindate Friday). Check the Park office for further information or view the 2007 Summer Camp Guide. In-Line & Skateboarding Camp Enjoy a fun camp for skateboarders and in-line skaters. Learn grinds, air, invert, street and vert while skating in your own park with a Pro. Required equipment: skates, skateboard, helmet, knee and elbow pads, wrist guards and in-line skates with H block and guard plates. For beginner, intermediate, street, and aggressive skaters and boarders. This camp is presented by American In-Line, a dedicated team of Professional Skateboard and In-Line Skate Instructors committed to taking skaters further while promoting fun and safety. | Inclement Weather: The Skate Park will be closed during inclement weather. | Mission Statement To provide a facility in which skateboarders, in-line skaters, and bikers may practice and develop their skills in a safe and challenging environment. 
All participants assume all risk of injury. The City of Rockville and its agents are not responsible for any injuries. - Skate at your own risk.
- In-line skaters must wear a helmet, elbow pads, wrist guards, and knee pads. Skateboarders must wear a helmet, elbow pads, and knee pads. Freestyle bikers must wear a helmet, elbow pads, and knee pads. Bikers are encouraged to wear safety gloves as well.
- Do not use ramps/rails beyond your ability level.
- One person, per ramp, at a time.
- All participants must be under control at all times.
- All participants must enter and exit through the designated area.
- No food or drink allowed in the skating area.
- No drugs, alcohol, or tobacco products allowed in or around the park.
- Profanity prohibited.
- No littering.
- No non-skaters inside the fenced area.
- No personal music devices permitted.
- Participants are not allowed in staff office.
- No loitering after facility is closed.
Skaters are expected to follow the above rules and any directions given by Skate Park staff. Failure to do so may result in the loss of skating privileges. No refunds will be given. |
