Art exhibit: Valthea McGee FryArt Exhibit: Valthea McGee FryArt Exhibit: Valthea McGee Fry
Valthea McGee Fry's watercolors are currently on display at the Thomas Farm Community Center through February 15. She loves being outdoors and was first attracted to watercolor because of its luminosity. She decided to pursue watercolors when she moved to Maryland in 1980. She is originally from New England and her interest in art started at a very young age. Valthea graduated from Regis College with a double major in Art and Psychology, and received a Master's degree in Art Therapy. The subject matter that intrigues her is flowers, because they seem to be compatible with the watercolors giving the petals a translucent appearance and just a fresh look to the painting.
