We are dedicated to providing supportive opportunities for our young community members by helping them grow, learn and build character. Screened and trained mentors develop meaningful relationships through one-on-one meetings, activities and communication. Our mentors focus on building confidence with school work, act as a sounding board for challenges and experiences, and hone communication skills.

We meet every week for an hour. The program runs during the school year from October to June.

Elementary students in participating schools referred by school counselors. Ask your school if your child would be a candidate for the program.

Summer Enrichment Program

This additional mentoring program seeks to address the academic retention loss that occurs during the summer months. Activities are designed to be interactive and engage students to help them build and retain their study and learning skills.

For information on eligibility or signing up as a mentor for the program, please contact the Community Services Program Coordinator at or by 240-314-8317.
