Themed Birthday Parties

Birthday parties at Croydon Creek feature a fun-filled hour-long program led by a naturalist and are best suited for children ages 3 and older, with some parties designed for older children. Parties can accommodate up to 25 guests.

Each party consists of both an indoor and outdoor learning experience, unless otherwise noted. In the event of inclement weather, alternate arrangements will be made for outdoor activities.

The birthday child receives one Wild Party T-shirt and each party guest will receive a special nature craft to take home. Nature-themed goody bags can be added for an additional fee. Your total access time to the party room is 2.5 hours – this time includes set-up, your wild party and take-down.

 Saturdays: 10:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.; 2 - 4:30 p.m.
 Sundays: 2 - 4:30 p.m.

Classic Party

ages 3+; all year

Get up close and personal with three live animals who call the Center home and enjoy a naturalist-led hike in the forest preserve.

Classic With Craft

ages 3+; all year

Get up close and personal with three live animals who call the Center home and make a nature-themed craft to take home. This party does not include a hike.

Feathers and Fur

ages 3+; all year

Investigate our collection of bio-facts as you discover mammals and birds commonly found in Maryland. This party does not include live animals.

Tracks and Trails

ages 3+; all year

Become wildlife detectives and explore the tracks and traces left by our resident wildlife with an indoor and outdoor lesson. This party does not include live animals.

Meadow Mayhem

ages 4 +; June - September

Explore the wonderful world of entomology as you capture and study insects in our meadow. This party does not include live animals.

Creek Crawl

ages 7 +; June - September

Grab your water shoes and head to the creek to see the different creatures that swim and crawl there. This party does not include live animals.

Geocaching Adventure

ages 8+; all year

Learn the basics of geocaching and use handheld GPS devices (provided by the Center) to complete an outdoor scavenger hunt. This party does not include live animals

Party Rates

A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a date.

For parties with more than 10 guests, each additional guest will cost $10. Maximum of 25 guests per party.
