The Bullards Park Stream Restoration Spot Repair is intended to protect public infrastructure and stabilize an intermittent tributary to Watts Branch within the Potomac River watershed. Due to erosion, the project is intended to protect public infrastructure and enhance the watershed through stream restoration, wetland enhancement, and invasive species control (bamboo).
Project includes:
Reduce erosion threatening public infrastructure, private property, and mature trees.
Oct. 3, 2019: IFB #05-20 posted and released to general public
Jan. 6, 2020: Mayor and Council award construction contract to Old Line Construction, Inc.
April 2020: Bamboo harvest and preliminary site delineation.
Summer 2020: Construction to begin, anticipated to take 8 months to complete.
Winter 2020: Construction complete.

Residents expected to be directly impacted by the construction will receive written notification mailed to them in advance of the work start date.
