  1. Youth Basketball Games & Practice UPDATE  - January 20, 2022

    • Practices to restart the week of January 24th in facilities. Coaches should be reaching out to tell parents if they will be holding practice the week of January 24th or if they will be resuming practices the week of January 31st.
    • Games to begin the weekend of February 5. Coaches will be provided the schedules early in the week of January 24th.

The City of Rockville offers a variety of adult and youth sports leagues, programs and events year-round at various locations throughout the city. The city's sports leagues provide opportunities for players of all ages to focus on the fundamentals in life. Players can improve their health, have a social outlet, improve social skills and build teamwork.

Heads Up Concussion Awareness

To help ensure the health and safety of young athletes, CDC developed the HEADS UP Concussion in Youth Sports initiative to offer information about concussions to coaches, parents, and athletes involved in youth sports. The HEADS UP initiative provides important information on preventing, recognizing, and responding to a concussion.
