Stormwater

The City of Rockville manages stormwater to reduce flooding and protect private property, protect the environment and contribute to happier, healthier communities.

The Stormwater Management Utility Fee is a charge added to property taxes for all property owners, including homeowners, businesses, houses of worship, governments and schools. The utility fee is used to help the city comply with state and federal clean water requirements and to maintain stormwater conveyance and treatment systems.

The current annual Stormwater Management Utility Fee is $146 per 2,330 square feet of impervious area.

Each property was assessed by the city using aerial photography.
