Celebrate with your neighbors at Hometown Holidays, Rockville’s signature community event in Rockville Town Center!

Enjoy live entertainment for all ages, featuring an exciting lineup of performances across multiple genres. Savor delicious food and beverages from your favorite local restaurants and vendors.

Families will find plenty to do with kids’ activities, including yard games, crafts, and kid-friendly performances. Plus, stop by outreach booths to connect with festival sponsors, community organizations, and City of Rockville services.

Come for the fun, stay for the community spirit!

General Information

  • No chairs or blankets allowed within 100 feet of the stage.
  • Bring beach chairs or blankets to ensure comfortable seating. Please be mindful of others so everyone can enjoy the show.
  • Outside, prepared food is permitted.
  • Onsite recycling supports Rockville’s sustainability efforts.
  • Most events take place rain or shine. In case of inclement weather, cancellations will be posted at rockvillemd.gov/HTH and facebook.com/RockvilleHometownHolidays.
  • Rockville Town Center is smoke- and vape-free.

For the safety of all, please follow these guidelines:

  • No tents, barbecuing, or open flames.
  • Pets are discouraged. Service animals permitted.
  • No outside alcohol.
  • No wheeled recreational devices.
  • No noisemakers, glass containers, drones, or laser pointers.
  • No weapons, illegal substances, or explosives.
  • No throwing footballs, flying discs, baseballs, or other projectiles.

Entertainment

Hometown Holidays features two stages with more than 15 live performances throughout the weekend. Enjoy an exciting mix of rock, pop, country, blues, Irish rock, and more.

Artisan Shopping Area

Discover one-of-a-kind gifts. Treat yourself to a new candle or a piece of handmade jewelry, and explore a variety of unique creations from talented artisans.

Kids Activities

The Town Square Stage brings fun with exciting kids performances each day. Don’t forget to visit the kids craft tent to unleash your creativity or challenge a friend to a game of giant Connect 4.

Due to space limitations in Rockville Town Center, there are no kids amusements at the event.

Yoga at Hometown Holidays

Start your Sunday with Yoga at HTH at 9 a.m. on May 24, held on the turf in front of the Town Square Stage. Bring a mat, water, and a friend, and enjoy this free session led by Thrive Yoga.

City of Rockville, Sponsor, and Community Booths

Stop by the City of Rockville booth to meet city representatives, learn how to get involved, and explore ways to connect with your community. Be sure to visit the many sponsor, community, and political booths highlighting local organizations, services, and opportunities.

Getting to Hometown Holidays at Rockville Town Center

Please check for delays or service interruptions before traveling.

By car:

  • Free parking is available at the metro lots and City Hall lots. Free parking in the jury parking lot, located on the corner of Rt. 28 and Monroe Street, is available after 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 23.
  • Paid parking is available in the Town Center garages. Cash and credit are accepted, and accessible parking is available.

By metro:

  • Take Metro’s Red Line to the Rockville station. Exit on the Rockville Pike side and follow the music across the street to Middle Lane.

By bus:

  • Ride On bus routes 45, 55, and 301 provide services to Rockville Town Center.

By bike:

Road Closures

During event planning, the city works to minimize impacts on residents; however, some road closures and parking restrictions will be in effect. Please follow all posted signage in the Rockville Town Center area. Parking regulations will be strictly enforced, and vehicles may be towed at the owner’s expense. Road closure information will be available in early May.

Safe Ride Home

Save on your Uber ride home from Hometown Holidays. Scan the QR code at a beverage booth or in the onsite guide to receive up to $10 off your ride from 4–7 p.m. each day, while funds last. Presented by the Rockville Recreation and Parks Foundation.

Beverages

Beverages, including soda, water, and a variety of alcoholic drinks, are available for purchase at two beverage booths. Beverage booths accept cash, credit, and digital wallets. Please note that mugs and mug refills are not offered. Food booths also offer a selection of non-alcoholic beverages.

Food

Savor a delicious variety of food from local restaurants and vendors, featuring festival favorites and flavors from around the world.
