Rockville’s Senior Center is an active facility dedicated to serving those who are aged 60 and older within and around our community. We offer nutritious meals, educational classes and workshops, arts programs, fitness, counseling services and much more. Our large center features a full cafeteria, computer lab, fitness rooms, library, community garden plots, woodworking studio, and plenty of rooms for hosting your next special event.

Winter 2022-23 Adult 60+ Recreation Services Guide

December - March

The Senior Center is warm and toasty this winter with lots of events to warm you up such as our New Year’s Rockin’ around the senior center progressive appetizer event. Participate in some art programs from calligraphy, clay, cooking, soap making, and fluid painting. Take a trip to the Kennedy Center to see Wicked and the National Museum of African American History and Culture. Get your steps in with line dancing, Zumba, or Forever Fit.

Registration begins Tuesday, Nov. 29 for Senior Center members and Thursday, Dec. 1 for general.

Spring 2023 Adult 60+ Recreation Services Guide

March-June

The Senior Center is hopping this spring with lots of programs to keep you busy and engaged. Explore your creativity in a special Mother’s Day flower arranging class. Join our 8-week fitness challenge for a healthier you and try a stress reduction/meditation class for a more peaceful sense of being. Take a trip to Annapolis for a day of Chesapeake Bay culinary tidbits, traditions, and history. So many possibilities offer something for everyone!

Registration begins Tuesday, Feb. 28 for Senior Center members and Thursday, March 1 for general.

Fitness Room

The Senior Center Fitness Room is open with no reservation requirements. Masks are optional.

Games and Activities

Join a game of ping pong or chess in one of our activity rooms. Our activity rooms are equipped for bridge, knockout poker, pinochle and more.

Bocce ball is available outside.

Transportation

Reservation required

A bus shuttle for City of Rockville residents is available to the Senior Center, shopping, club meetings and more. Call 240-314-8810 for reservations and area pickup and drop off locations.

Daily Lunch

Reservations required

Get together with friends or meet some new ones in our dining hall. Hot and cold lunches are available at noon, Monday through Friday. Call 240-314-8810 for reservations.
