A Safe Speed Program Evaluation has demonstrated the effectiveness of this initiative, and the city remains committed to keeping Rockville a safe and healthy place to live and work.

Pay Your Speed Camera Ticket

The fine for a speed camera ticket is $40. A $2 convenience fee applies when paying by credit or debit card. No points are added to your driving record.

New Redland Boulevard Speed Camera

As part of its ongoing efforts to reduce speeding in Rockville neighborhoods, the Rockville City Police Department will deploy a speed monitoring system near 15000 Redland Blvd., eastbound. The portable camera unit will begin monitoring the area around Nov. 28, 2025, with citations issued after a 30-day grace period for vehicles traveling 12 mph or more over the posted speed limit.
