Prescription Drug Drop Box
About Prescription Drug Drop Box
Rockville residents can safely dispose of unused, unwanted, or expired medications — no questions asked — in a prescription drug drop box located in the front lobby of the Rockville City Police Station.
The drop box, which resembles a mailbox, accepts prescription and over-the-counter medications in the form of pills, tablets, capsules, patches, and pet medications. Items should be in their original container or in a sealed plastic bag, with identifying information removed or blacked out, if possible. Liquids and syringes are not accepted. View safe disposal tips.
This free, anonymous service is available to the public 24/7. The drop box is under constant video surveillance and permanently secured. All medications collected are safely destroyed.
