Report a Missed Collection

Your recycling, trash, or yard waste may not have been collected for the following reasons:

• Holiday Schedule: During holiday weeks, collection may be delayed by one day depending on your regular collection day.
• Non-Accepted Items: Carts containing non-accepted items will not be collected.
• Items Not Set Out: If your recycling, trash, or yard waste was not placed curbside, it will not be collected.
• Weight Limits: Carts must not exceed 165 pounds and lids must be able to close.

To report a missed collection, complete the form below or call 240-314-8568. City staff will follow up during regular business hours. Leave your items out until a decision is made. Crews will not return until your next regular collection day (Monday through Thursday). Items missed on Thursday are generally collected the following Monday.

This form is only for Rockville residents who are provided recycling and trash service by the City of Rockville. Before reporting a missed collection, check your address on the Find Your Recycle and Refuse Pickup Day map to determine if the city provides service at your address.
