Membership Levels

Fitness memberships include access to the fitness room, open gym times, and drop-in sports.

Membership Guidelines

The Twinbrook Community Recreation Center is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable recreation experience. The following guidelines are designed to protect community center users and staff, while maintaining the integrity of the facility.

  • All patrons must purchase a daily or annual fitness membership.
  • All members must scan their membership card at the customer service desk when entering the facility.
  • Patrons must be at least 18 years old to use the fitness equipment without supervision. Teens ages 13 to 17 may sign up with parental permission. Children younger than 13 years old may not use the fitness center.
  • No food or drink is allowed in the fitness center. Water is permitted in non-glass containers.
  • Appropriate dress is required. Shirts must be worn at all times. Athletic shoes are required on the fitness equipment.
  • Careless, abusive, or improper use of equipment will not be tolerated.
  • Use of equipment is limited to 30 minutes when others are waiting.
  • Return equipment to its proper place after use.
  • Clean the fitness center machines with the wipes provided after use.
  • Do not move the cardio or strength equipment.
  • Stand away from equipment in use by others.
  • Personal trainers must purchase a membership to train in the facility. The City of Rockville cannot be held liable for any injuries that may occur as a result of a trainer’s recommendations.
  • The community center is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Profanity and other offensive or intimidating behavior will not be tolerated.
  • Be respectful of others in regard to the selection and volume of television programs.
  • All patrons ages 5 and older must purchase a daily or annual membership. Fitness center memberships are sold separately.
  • All members must scan their membership card at the customer service desk when entering the facility.
  • Children ages 8 and younger must be supervised by an adult at all times. Children ages 9-14 must be supervised after 7 p.m.
  • Spectating requires a daily or annual membership (except for city-sponsored classes and programs).
  • Memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable.
  • Equipment checked out at the customer service desk requires a membership card and must be returned by the membership cardholder.
  • Careless, abusive, or improper use of equipment will not be tolerated.
  • Use of equipment is limited to 30 minutes when others are waiting.
  • The community center is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Loud and disruptive behavior, fighting, and the use of profanity will not be tolerated.
  • Bicycles, skateboards, and Heely skating are not permitted in the building.
  • Skateboarding is not permitted in front of the building.
  • Smoking is not permitted inside the facility or on the grounds.
  • Use of alcohol and illegal substances in the facility and on the grounds is not tolerated.
