Do Good by Your Neighborhood with the City’s Budget Survey
January 2, 2026
Public participation in the budget process is a high priority for the Mayor and Council and city staff. That includes having all parts of the city represented in responses to a survey about community priorities for the city’s budget.
The community budget priorities survey is available in English, Spanish and simplified Chinese at rockvillemd.gov/budget. Survey responses provide valuable input to the Mayor and Council for their budget discussions.
Public hearings on the Fiscal Year 2027 city budget resume in March, following the introduction of the city manager’s budget proposal.
The city manager’s FY27 budget proposal will be presented Monday, March 9, followed by public hearings and work sessions on Mondays, March 9 and 23, and a final balancing and Capital Improvements Program work session on Monday, April 13. The budget is scheduled for adoption on Monday, May 4.
