Know someone in Rockville who is doing amazing things for the planet?
Nominate them for an Environmental Excellence Award. Rockville is looking for residents, businesses, organizations and students who are making a real difference through environmental stewardship, environmental practices, green building and education and academic achievement.
The Mayor and Council and members of the city’s Environment Commission presented 2025 Environmental Excellence Awards to Dawn Samen (holding plaque at left) and Ingleside at King Farm (represented by David Martinsen, holding plaque at right). The awards, presented in June, recognized contributions to Rockville’s environmental health and sustainability.
Nominate yourself or someone you admire and celebrate local changemakers making Rockville greener. Nominations will be accepted through Sunday, March 15.
