On Jan. 16, a Notice to Proceed with construction was issued to Kinsley Construction, LLC (Kinsley) for the Croydon Creek and Calvin Park Tributary stream restoration, a City of Rockville project related to stormwater management. This project is partially funded by a Maryland Department of Natural Resources Chesapeake and Atlantic Coastal Bays 2010 Trust Fund Grant.

Beginning the week of Monday, Feb. 2, Kinsley will begin to set controls, stake out the limits of disturbance and install tree protection and erosion and sediment controls.

Access to the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre, Glenview Mansion and Croydon Creek Nature Center will not be affected. Residents who live adjacent to Rockville Civic Center Park will always have full access to their driveways.

Work hours are 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Kinsley will comply with the county’s noise ordinance. Construction will begin spring 2026 and is expected to last through 2027.
