Bank On Rockville helps residents access safe, affordable banking options and trusted financial empowerment resources that support long-term financial stability and economic mobility. Through partnerships with local nonprofits, financial institutions, schools, and community organizations, we connect residents to financial education, counseling, workforce resources, and banking products that meet the national Bank On standards, helping individuals and families build a stronger financial future.

Find a Bank On Certified Account

Bank On certified accounts are designed to be safe, affordable, and accessible, with low fees and no overdraft charges. These accounts can help residents securely manage money, receive direct deposits, pay bills, and build financial stability.

Financial Literacy and Empowerment Services

Through Bank On Rockville partners, residents are eligible for many no-cost financial empowerment services, including:

The Latino Economic Development Corporation’s Financial Empowerment Program offers free, one-on-one financial coaching and interactive financial education in English and Spanish. Services include budgeting, credit building, debt management, emergency fund planning, homeownership classes, and more.

Montgomery County’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax assistance during tax season (mid-January through mid-April) and post-tax season (mid-June through October). Appointments are available to Montgomery County community members who have a combined household income of up to $69,000.

Across the country, local Bank On coalitions work to connect residents to safe and affordable banking products that meet the Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund’s Bank On National Account Standards.
