The City of Rockville’s Public Works Department delivers engineering, utility, and operational services to support a high quality of life, protect health and property, and provide excellent customer service.

The department is responsible for the design, acquisition, construction, operation, maintenance, inspection, and renewal of the city’s infrastructure. Services include sustainable transportation, drinking water, sewage disposal, stormwater management, recycling and refuse, fleet operations, and environmental management.
