Caregiver Funding Task Force
The Caregiver Funding Task Force developed a comprehensive process for reviewing applications and recommending caregiver funding by considering the purpose of the city’s nonprofit funding and examining the existing caregiver grant process. The task force also reviewed and analyzed the processes used by other government agencies and best practices in grant award processes, including options for awarding funding as grants, contracts, or through a formal procurement process.
The task force completed its work one year after its first meeting for use in preparation of the city’s FY20 proposed budget. The task force’s findings and recommendations were provided to the Mayor and Council in a report presented in July 2019.
Members
The Caregiver Funding Task Force consisted of seven members who were appointed by the Mayor and Council and represented a variety of stakeholders and organizations:
