Development Review Committee

The Development Review Committee reviews development applications for compliance with city codes and regulations. It provides input to project applicants before a formal public hearing and makes recommendations for consideration by city decision-makers. The committee does not have direct authority to act on projects.

Members of the public may attend committee meetings; however, these are not public hearings, and public participation is not permitted. To discuss a specific project with a project planner, contact the Community Planning and Development Services Department.

Members

The Development Review Committee consists of representatives from city departments with expertise in planning, zoning, forestry, transportation, stormwater management, and recreation and park facilities. It also includes representatives from public agencies and utilities, such as WSSC, Pepco, and Montgomery County, involved in reviewing development proposals in Rockville.
