Retirement Board
Established by Section 15-82 of the Rockville City Code, the Retirement Board directs the affairs of the city’s retirement system, including investment activity, investment policies, and funding statements, and processes retirement and disability applications. Retirement system documents can be found below:
Members
The Retirement Board consists of seven members appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the council. Members include a member of the Mayor and Council, the city manager, three city employees below the assistant department head level, and two people with business experience, one of whom serves as chair. The city’s director of finance serves as the board’s executive secretary.
