Sustainable Rockville
October 29, 2018
The city was recognized for a third time as a Sustainable Maryland community and earned the program’s Sustainability Champion designation, at the Maryland Municipal League’s fall conference on Oct. 12 in Annapolis. Rockville amassed more points than any other community for sustainability efforts that include its 28th consecutive year as a Tree City USA, its diversity and inclusion initiatives, its green schools, its community garden plots and health assessments of its three watersheds.
