Take the Survey and Help Plan the Future of RedGate Park

March 23, 2021

What should RedGate Park look like in 10 years? Twenty years?

The city has launched a new website — and a survey — at engagerockville.com/redgate-park to gather thoughts and ideas about RedGate Park’s future. The survey, which is translated into Spanish and Simplified Chinese, will be open until Friday, April 16.

Through EngageRockville, users can sign up to receive updates and share ideas, as well as find a central hub for information about RedGate Park and the planning process.

When the 131-acre RedGate golf course closed, the City of Rockville Mayor and Council voted unanimously to keep the land — one of the city’s largest remaining areas of open space — as a park.

Over the next year, the community is invited to join the city to envision — and design — the details. Will there be trails for walking, biking and hiking? Playgrounds? A dog park? Picnic areas? Natural areas for birdwatching and habitat preservation? Or would you like to see lighted sports fields or an event amphitheater? Give us your thoughts.

Visit engagerockville.com/redgate-park and join the conversation.
