‘Flights Of Fancy’ to Take Off at College Gardens Park

Baltimore-based artist Andy Dahl’s new mural, “Flights of Fancy,” at College Gardens Park picnic pavilion, will be formally dedicated at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16. 

Dahl is a painter, sculptor, filmmaker and public artist with a master’s in fine arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art. He balances his time between public art commissions, serving as a community organizer in East Baltimore and several film projects. Additionally, Dahl has worked extensively on youth empowerment projects through the arts in New Orleans, Bolivia, Paraguay and California. 

College Gardens Park is located at 615 College Parkway. The mural is part of Rockville’s Art in Public Places program. Learn more about public art in Rockville at rockvillemd.gov/aipp.
