Rockville’s Kid Tennis Players Take to U.S. Open Courts

Rockville’s Department of Recreation and Parks was chosen to take part in the United States Tennis Association Net Generation Kids On Court Experience at the 2025 U.S. Open in New York City. 

On Friday, Aug. 29, a diverse group of 24 city residents, aged 8-15, who had actively participated in tennis classes were expected to step onto the court before the day’s opening match to take part in a dynamic demonstration featuring red balls, youth-sized rackets and pop-up nets.
