On Oct. 29, 2025, the City of Rockville launched its redesigned website to improve the Rockville community’s access to city departments and services. One exciting new feature is the ability to sign up to receive community alerts, meeting agendas and department news customized according to personal interests.

You can sign up to receive News Alerts by categories or departments such as: Announcements, Culture and Recreation, Development and Planning, Environment, Events, Government, Housing and Community Services, Mayor and Council, Public Safety, Rockville Reports, Transportation and Mobility, and Water and Sewer.

Next, you can select the Rockville community boards, commissions and task forces about which you prefer to receive Meeting Alerts and notifications. Finally, you can choose to receive alerts daily, weekly or monthly.

By signing up and selecting to receive News Alerts about Public Safety, you will receive notification emails each week when the RCPD Crime Report is posted on the city’s website.

Custodial Arrests

  • 10/25/25, a male, age 41, was arrested for driving under the influence in the 1400 Blk. Rockville Pike.
  • 10/27/25, a male, age 31, was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant at the Unit Blk. Maryland Avenue and E. Middle Lane.
  • 10/28/25, a male, age 16, was arrested for robbery and assault in the 1000 Blk. Rockville Pike.
  • 10/29/25, a male, age 40, was arrested for burglary in the 100 Blk. Gibbs Street.
  • 11/1/25, a male, age 22, was arrested for driving under the influence in the 12600 Blk. Falls Road.
  • 11/1/25, a male, age 45, was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant at the Rockville City Police Station.
  • 11/2/25, a male, age 49, was arrested for driving under the influence in the 400 Blk. Twinbrook Parkway.
  • 11/3/25, a female, age 29, was arrested for auto theft and assault in the 800 Blk. Crocus Drive.

Incidents

  • 200 Blk. Congressional Lane, an unknown male subject approached the victim at 12:40 a.m. on 10/28/25 and asked for personal property. When the victim declined, the subject assaulted the victim and stole cash before fleeing.
  • 100 Blk. Rollins Avenue, an employee reported on 10/28/25 that an unknown subject placed a card skimming device on the cashier’s card reader sometime before 10/26/25 when a customer reported his information was stolen and used.
  • 1200 Blk. W. Montgomery Avenue, two unknown subjects used counterfeit currency to pay for merchandise at a business on 10/27/25 at 2:56 a.m. and 10/28/25 at 6:39 a.m. Subject is described as: an unknown male wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with “Carhartt” on the chest, black pants, white and gray Crocs, carrying a dark gray backpack with white stripes.
  • 1500 Blk. Rockville Pike, two unknown male subjects stole merchandise from a business at 2:02 p.m. on 10/28/25. Subjects are described as: an unknown male, approx. 6’0” tall, 180 lbs., wearing a black hoodie, black sweatpants, black and white shoes, a mint green coat, carrying a gray backpack, and an unknown male, approx. 5’8” tall, 200 lbs., wearing a black coat, hoodie, pants, and shoes.
  • 1000 Blk. Rockville Pike, an unknown subject stole the victim’s gold 2021 Acura TLX between 4:00 p.m. on 10/28/25 and 3:15 a.m. on 10/29/25.
  • 1000 Blk. Westmore Avenue, an unknown subject stole the catalytic converters from two trucks of a business between 8:00 p.m. on 10/28/25 and 7:00 a.m. on 10/29/25.
  • 200 Blk. Redland Boulevard, an unknown stole personal property from an unlocked vehicle between 12:00 a.m. on 10/25/25 and 12:50 p.m. on 10/29/25.
  • 200 Blk. Congressional Lane, an unknown subject stole the victim’s locked 2019 Honda Pilot, removed several of the vehicle’s body parts, and abandoned the vehicle in Lanham, Maryland where it was recovered between 8:45 a.m. on 10/20/25 and 6:30 p.m. on 10/29/25.
  • 800 Blk. Avery Road, the victim learned on 10/30/25 that an unknown subject had obtained his identification information by unknown means and fraudulently applied for unemployment insurance benefits.
  • 600 Blk. Great Falls Road, a known male subject assaulted the victim between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. on 10/30/25. The victim was referred for charges.
  • 600 Blk. Hungerford Drive, a known male subject stole merchandise from a business on 10/31/25 at 11:50 a.m. and 1:09 p.m. on 11/1/25. Investigation connected the subject to multiple shoplifting incidents. Charges have been filed.
  • 1900 Blk. Chapman Avenue, two unknown male subjects broke into the leasing office and package room of an apartment building damaging the building doors between 3:40 a.m. and 3:46 a.m. on 10/31/25.
  • 1600 Blk. Rockville Pike, an unknown male subject stole merchandise from a business at 4:24 p.m. on 10/31/25.
  • 700 Blk. Monroe Street, a known female subject stole personal property and cash after an argument at 1:30 a.m. on 11/1/25. The victim was referred for charges.
  • 3500 Blk. Bellflower Lane, three unknown subjects threw eggs at a residence between 9:20 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on 10/31/25.
  • Unit Blk. W. Gude Drive, an unknown subject stole the catalytic converters from three busses that belonged to a business between 2 p.m. on 10/31/25 and 9:27 a.m. on 11/1/25.
  • 600 Blk. Hungerford Drive, a known subjects stole merchandise from a business between 10/31/25 and 11/1/25. Charges have been filed.
  • 14700 Blk. Avery Road, the victim reported on 11/2/25 that an unknown subject used his personal information to register for a university course on 3/31/21 and the unpaid tuition was deducted from the victim’s tax return in 2025.
  • 700 Blk. Hungerford Drive, an unknown subject shattered the rear passenger window of the victim’s vehicle between 6:10 p.m. and 6:35 p.m. on 11/2/25.
  • 1500 Blk. Rockville Pike, an unknown male subject stole merchandise from a business at 12:35 p.m. on 11/3/25. Subject is described as: a black male, approx. 20’s, 5’8”, medium to heavy build wearing a black baseball cap, green hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and black sneakers riding a bicycle.
  • 800 Blk. Bowie Rd, an unknown subject stole personal property from an unsecured vehicle between 12:30 p.m. on 11/1/25 and 12:00 p.m. on 11/2/25.
  • 1100 Blk. Higgins Place, a resident reported that an unknown subject spray painted graffiti on the walls of a parking garage between 5:05 p.m. and 5:17 p.m. on 11/3/25.
