Gas Main Repair: Mt. Vernon Place and Blandford Street

Washington Gas crews will work overnight tonight, Friday, Nov. 14, into Saturday, Nov. 15 to repair a damaged gas main at Mt. Vernon Place and Blandford Street.

Thirteen homes and three apartment complexes will be without gas service during repairs. The damaged main was discovered as part of ongoing gas main replacement work.

Steel plates will be placed at the site after repairs are complete. Crews will return Monday to patch the roadway and remove equipment.

Washington Gas has called in additional crews to expedite the repairs.
