Holiday Drive Moves Into Gift-Giving Season

December 1, 2025

It’s Not Too Late to Donate!

Rockville’s annual Holiday Drive is accepting donations of new and lightly used toys until Friday, Dec. 12.

Flyer for the City of Rockville's December Holiday Drive, outlining three ways to participate: gift donations, online donations, or volunteering. Contact and website details provided.

Collection boxes for donations have been placed at facilities throughout the city.

As a community effort, the Holiday Drive relies on support from local churches, schools, civic organizations, service clubs, social service agencies and individuals. And as the holidays approach, Rockville businesses in particular are invited to join in contributing to the Holiday Drive’s good work.

In 2024, the drive served 750 Rockville households, including seniors, for Thanksgiving, and reached about 1,500 children and teens in December.

Ways to Get Involved

Donate goods: Bring donations, such as toys, large or medium gift bags, or wrapping paper, to any city building with a donation box, or use the Holiday Drive’s 2025 Amazon Wishlist and have items delivered right to City Hall with this link: a.co/6revgfl

Send a contribution: Tax-deductible monetary donations are used to purchase toys, books and gift cards for December. Contributions can be made online at rockvillemd.gov/holidaydrive

Checks should be made payable to the City of Rockville (include “Rockville Holiday Drive Fund” in the memo line) and mailed to: Community Services Division, First Floor, Rockville City Hall, 111 Maryland Ave., Rockville, MD 20850.

Volunteer: Sort gifts and decorate the toy shop from Dec. 15-19, and serve as a personal shopper or in another role on distribution day, Saturday, Dec. 20. Sign up at cityofrockville.galaxydigital.com/need
