Save the Date for the Return of Hometown Holidays to Rockville Town Center in May

The city’s 38th annual Hometown Holidays festival returns to Rockville Town Center on Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24, with an extra splash of patriotism in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary. 

The entertainment, food and shopping, is followed by the city’s annual Memorial Day Ceremony and Parade on Monday, May 25. 

Hometown Holidays at Rockville Town Center will feature two stages of entertainment for all ages and music from a variety of genres, including rock, pop, country, blues and more. 

Confirmed acts include Joslyn & The Sweet Compression, The E Street Shuffle, North to Nashville, Ocho de Bastos, Bastard Bearded Irishmen, Band of Roses, Fast Eddie and The Slowpokes, Proverbs Reggae Band, Midnight Mimosa, The U.S. Navy Band Cruisers, Groovy Nate, Echoes of Nature, Rocknoceros, Thrive Yoga, Victorian Lyric Opera Company and Ceylon Bera. Food and beverages from local restaurants and vendors will be available for purchase. Festivalgoers can enjoy a shopping area featuring local artisans or take part in yard games and crafts. Outreach booths will connect attendees with festival sponsors, community groups and city services. 

The festival is accessible via Metrobus and Metrorail, Ride On, rideshare, biking or walking. Free and paid parking lots will be available. 

The Memorial Day Ceremony and Parade, a city tradition for 82 years, will feature more than 50 dance, marching and community groups from around the region, and be held from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, May 25 in Rockville Town Center. This year’s parade theme is “America 250.” Find more information about the parade, including how to participate, at rockvillemd.gov/memorialday. Applications must be submitted by Friday, April 3.
