Share Thoughts About ‘Shared Passage’

May 1, 2026

Five people walk through a colorful archway made of intersecting white rings with stained glass panels in a park setting on a sunny day.

Community engagement will begin in fall for “Shared Passage,” an 18-by-25 foot sculpture planned for the 4.1-acre David Scull Park at 1133 First St.

The feedback will guide the artists in creating the final details for the sculpture, such as arrangement of the colorful acrylic panels and arches, and a solar lighting option. The sculpture is funded through Rockville’s Incorporation of Works of Art in Public Architecture program.
