On Oct. 29, 2025, the City of Rockville launched its redesigned website to improve the Rockville community’s access to city departments and services. One exciting new feature is the ability to sign up to receive community alerts, meeting agendas and department news customized according to personal interests.

Next, you can select the Rockville community boards, commissions and task forces about which you prefer to receive Meeting Alerts and notifications. Finally, you can choose to receive alerts daily, weekly or monthly.

By signing up and selecting to receive News Alerts about Public Safety, you will receive notification emails each week when the RCPD Crime Report is posted on the city’s website.

Custodial Arrests

  • 6/2/26, a male, age 17, was arrested for shoplifting in the 1500 Blk. Rockville Pike.
  • 6/2/26, a male, age 55, was arrested for assault in the 400 Blk. McArthur Drive.
  • 6/4/26, a male, age 23, was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant following a traffic accident at the intersection of W. Gude Drive and W. Montgomery Avenue.
  • 6/4/26, a male, age 30, was arrested on an outstanding warrant through the Montgomery County Police Department for malicious destruction of property and disorderly conduct in the Unit Blk. Maryland Avenue.
  • 6/5/26, a male and a female, ages 39 and 21, were arrested for burglary in the Unit Blk. Elmcroft Court.
  • 6/5/26, a male, age 36, was issued a citation for possessing an open container of an alcoholic beverage in the 200 Blk. Rockville Pike.
  • 6/5/26, a male, age 40, was arrested on an outstanding warrant through the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office for malicious destruction of property at the Rockville City Police Station.
  • 6/5/26, a male, age 34, was arrested for assault, assault of a law enforcement officer, and reckless endangerment in the 1700 Blk. Farragut Avenue.
  • 6/6/26, two males, ages 31 and 49, were arrested on outstanding warrants through other jurisdictions for assault and failure to appear in court and issued a citation for possessing an open container of an alcoholic beverage in the 2200 Blk. Veirs Mill Road.
  • 6/7/26, a male, age 46, was arrested for burglary, obstructing and hindering, failure to obey a law enforcement officer, and possession of burglary tools in the 1600 Blk. Research Boulevard.
  • 6/7/26, a female, age 28, was arrested for burglary, vandalism, and violation of a protective order in the 1000 Blk. Rockville Pike.
  • 6/8/26, two males, ages 16 and 19, were arrested for burglary in the 1700 Blk. Research Boulevard.


Incidents

  • 400 Blk. Mercer Road, the victim was assaulted and the subject fled the residence at 12:10 a.m. on 6/2/26. The victim declined to file charges.
  • Unit Blk. W. Gude Drive, the victim reported that cash was stolen from her purse between 5/31/26 and 6/1/26. Incident reported on 6/2/26.
  • 600 Blk. Southlawn Lane, a known male rented a vehicle at 11:48 a.m. on 5/9/26 and failed to return the vehicle as of 11:17 a.m. on 6/2/26. The victim was referred for charges and the vehicle was located in another jurisdiction.
  • 700 Blk. Twinbrook Parkway, an unknown subject broke the driver-side window and stole a purse from the victim’s vehicle between 2:15 p.m. and 2:39 p.m. on 6/2/26.
  • 1300 Blk. E. Gude Drive, a known female stole merchandise from a business at 11:43 a.m. on 5/23/26. Incident reported on 6/2/26. The victim declined to file charges.
  • 1600 Blk. Research Boulevard, an unknown subject unlawfully entered a business through a locked front door and stole copper pipes between 11:50 p.m. on 6/3/26 and 8:20 a.m. on 6/4/26.
  • 100 Blk. Rollins Avenue, an unknown subject stole personal property from the locked storage unit in a residential building at 12:50 p.m. on 6/4/26
  • 300 Blk. Prettyman Drive, an unknown subject stole a package left at the front door of a  residence between 1:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. on 6/4/26.
  • 1600 Blk. Rockville Pike, an unknown subject stole the victim’s purse from the grocery cart at approx. 2:37 p.m. on 6/4/26.
  • 100 Blk. Rollins Avenue, a known male made unwanted physical contact with the victim in the lobby of a residential building at 4:30 p.m. on 6/4/26  . The victim declined to file charges.
  • 1100 Blk. Maple Avenue, an unknown subject stole the victim’s 2011 silver Hyundai Elantra between 2:58 a.m. and 3:01 a.m. on 6/5/26. The vehicle was recovered on 6/6/26 in another jurisdiction.
  • 1000 Blk. Maple Avenue, an unknown subject vandalized the driver-door handles of the victim’s two vehicles overnight between 6/4/26 and 6/5/26.
  • 1100 Blk. Veirs Mill Road, an unknown subject fraudulently used the victim’s identity to open a bank account and receive a credit line between 10/1/25 and 6/5/26.
  • 200 Blk. Richard Montgomery Drive, two known juvenile females assaulted the victim at 12:30 p.m. on 6/5/26. Charges have been filed.
  • 1400 Blk. Research Boulevard, an unknown subject stole the victim’s personal property from an unsecured gym locker between 7:10 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. on 6/5/26.
  • 200 Blk. N. Washington Street, an unknown subject displayed what appeared to be a firearm and pointed it at the security staff during a verbal dispute at 2:18 a.m. on 6/5/26.
  • 400 Blk. Blandford Street, a known male vandalized the personal property of a family member at 4:11 a.m. on 6/6/26.
  • 1700 Blk. Yale Place, a known male assaulted a healthcare employee at 4:07 p.m. on 6/7/26. The victim was referred for charges and obtaining a peace order.
  • 5700 Blk. Crawford Drive, an unknown subject stole a wallet from an unlocked vehicle between 8:00 p.m. on 6/5/26 and 10:00 a.m. on 6/6/26. Incident reported on 6/7/26.
  • 600 Blk. Hungerford Drive, an unknown subject stole merchandise from a business between 4:30 p.m. and 6:01 p.m. on 6/7/26.
  • 300 Blk. Watkins Circle, a known male assaulted a family member when an argument escalated at 7:40 p.m. on 6/7/26. The victim was referred for charges and a protective order.
  • 1700 Blk. Rockville Pike, an unknown female stole the victim’s purse when it was left unattended at a business between 7:11 p.m. and 7:17 p.m. on 6/7/26.
  • 1200 Blk. Edmonston Drive, a known male and female assaulted each other when an argument escalated between 7:00 a.m. and 8:20 a.m. on 6/8/26. The parties were referred for obtaining protective orders and charges have been filed.
  • 200 Blk. Mason Drive, an unknown subject broke the glass roof of a commercial vehicle between 4:00 p.m. on 6/7/26 and 11:00 a.m. on 6/8/26.
  • Unit Blk. Maryland Avenue, an unknown subject fraudulently obtained a student loan in the victim’s name on 5/29/25. Incident reported on 6/8/26.
  • 2100 Blk. Veirs Mill Road, an unknown female stole merchandise from a business at 6:40 p.m. on 6/8/26.
