Lincoln Park Community Center to Reopen July 1 After Year-Long Renovation

June 18, 2026

The Lincoln Park Community Center will officially reopen Wednesday, July 1, following a comprehensive renovation that began in May 2025.

While some renovation work is yet to be completed, the center is inviting the community to a preview from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. June 22–30. The preview offers an opportunity to sign up for a center membership and to tour the newly renovated spaces ahead of the official opening.

Center staff will welcome visitors to tour the facility, renew or purchase memberships and take part in drop-in open-house activities. Rooms hosting camp programs will remain closed to ensure program safety.

The 12,500-square-foot facility has undergone major upgrades, including new restrooms, accessibility improvements, infrastructure modernization and reconfigured program spaces. Highlights include a new STEM classroom and an accessible fitness room on the main floor.

Starting July 1, the center will return to its regular hours: 9 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday, and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday.

The Lincoln Park Community Center, at 357 Frederick Ave., serves the public by offering more than 600 programs a year at the heart of the historic Lincoln Park neighborhood, including after-school activities, sports, fitness classes, community rentals and special events.
