Mayor and Council Adopt JEDI Strategic Plan

Rockville’s Mayor and Council in July adopted the city’s first strategic plan to advance justice, equity, diversity and inclusion citywide.
The five-year framework of the plan helps ensure city services and programs are fair, accessible and welcoming to residents and staff. The plan establishes clear goals, measurable outcomes and accountability, and strategies to ensure justice, equity, diversity and inclusion are integrated into the city’s decision-making and service delivery.
Developed with comprehensive input from the community, partners and city staff, the plan lays out seven priorities, including program accessibility, community engagement, staff training and language access, as well as a clear plan to report progress.
