Celebrate World Migratory Bird Day with a guided family bird walk from 9-10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, starting at Croydon Creek Nature Center, 852 Avery Road.

This year’s theme, “Every Bird Counts — Your Observations Matter,” highlights how birdwatchers can help scientists better understand and protect migratory birds and their habitats.

Attendees should bring their own binoculars; a limited supply will be available to borrow. Ages 5 and older.

Register at rockvillemd.gov/registration with course #41568. The program is $5 for residents and $6 for nonresidents.
