A new accessible podium in the Mayor and Council chamber makes it easier for more residents to speak at public meetings and take part in city decisions.

The Americans with Disabilities Act Compliance Program’s Disability Community Advisory Group tested the podium at its quarterly fall meeting and gave it high marks for its ease of use.

The podium is part of Rockville’s commitment to make city spaces, services and processes accessible to everyone.
