Set in 1963, the Tony-nominated musical “Caroline, or Change” follows Caroline, an African American maid working for a white family in Lake Charles, Louisiana, as the country undergoes sweeping social change.

When Noah’s stepmother, Rose, tells Caroline she may keep the money Noah leaves in his pockets, Caroline initially refuses. But with her own children in need of food, clothing and shoes, the arrangement forces her to confront questions of money, race and change.

Written by Tony Kushner, with music by Jeanine Tesori, the musical blends blues, gospel and traditional Jewish melodies.

The Friday, Nov. 6 performance will feature American Sign Language interpretation.

Tickets cost $26; $23 for students and seniors. Group pricing is available. Call the box office for more information.
