Potomac Woods Park is a 42-acre park and forest preserve located in the Potomac Woods neighborhood. The park features a charming gazebo pavilion with picnic tables and grills, two tennis courts with a rally wall (complete with pickleball lines—bring your own net!), two basketball courts, two baseball/softball fields, and a playground installed in 2023 with sections for different age groups.

Take a leisurely stroll along the paved paths and explore the nature trails, with plenty of benches along the way to kick back and relax. Plus, you can bring your leashed dog along for the fun, with dog waste stations scattered throughout the park for easy cleanup. Bogley Branch stream runs from the southeast to the northwest of the park, adding a peaceful touch to the surroundings.

Plenty of parking is available at 2276 Dunster Lane (off Stratton Drive), and the park is easily accessible via paved paths from nearby communities, including from Dunster Lane, both ends of Oakenshield Drive, and the middle of Oakenshield Drive through Twin Oaks Drive and Scotch Mist Court.

Planning an event? Visit the Rent a Park Pavilion page to learn more about reserving the pavilion. Note that restrooms are available only with a permit.
