Rockville Civic Center Park is a large 153-acre complex offering multiuse facilities and recreational opportunities. The largest of our parks, the Civic Center Park is centrally located and surrounded by some of Rockville’s best places – Glenview Mansion, Croydon Creek, F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre, formal gardens and a forest preserve. It includes:

– Glenview Mansion and Cottage: Excellent event spaces, including indoor areas, formal gardens, and landscaped areas.

– F. Scott Fitzgerald Theater: Offers formal programs and other opportunities for events and performances as well as an open social hall area.

– Croydon Creek Nature Center: Offers recreational programs and educational opportunities about the Maryland ecosystem, serving as a starting point for various trails along Rock Creek and throughout the John G. Hayes Forest Preserve.

Adjoining Grounds: The park also has a playground, picnic areas with tables and grills, artwork, paved paths with historical signage and information, tennis courts with pickleball lines and a rally wall.

This park provides a blend of cultural, educational and recreational experiences for visitors.
