Celebrate Glenview Mansion’s 100th anniversary with the City of Rockville! For one day only, professional photographers may take photos inside Glenview Mansion and Civic Center Cottage for free. Click the button below to review program policies and register for a timeslot.

Thursday, May 14, 2026, 7-8:30 p.m.

Peerless Rockville will lead walking tours of the mansion, highlighting the remarkable beauty of the building and the privileged but poignant lives of the Lyons family who lived there. This cosponsored series is free and open to all. Light refreshments will be provided.

Sunday, July 19, 2026, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Artists are invited to step inside the historic Rockville landmark and create work inspired by its architecture, interiors and surroundings. This special program offers a rare opportunity to spend time observing, sketching and painting in a space that has been a cultural touchstone for a full century.

Sunday, September 27, 2026, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

A guided tour exploring Rockville’s beautiful neoclassical mansion and tiered gardens goes behind the scenes into rarely seen spaces, including the Lyons family safe, attic, private closets, staff offices and crawl spaces. View historic documents, enjoy refreshments and celebrate a century of elegance. Free and open to the public.

Nov. 6 and 7 at 8 p.m.; Nov. 7 and 8 at 2 p.m.

A Taste for Murder Productions will present “Funeral for a Gangster.” Step into 1928 and join the secret sendoff for mob boss Vito “The Gut” Marzetti at Ruby’s Place, the city’s hottest speakeasy. The family’s in mourning — sort of. Marzetti’s widow is hunting for his hidden fortune and the show’s audience might be key to unlocking his final, deadly secret. Tickets cost $40, $35 for students and seniors. Tickets plus optional buffet cost $70, and $65 for students and seniors. Brunch will be served at matinees. Prizes awarded to the best roaring twenties costume!
