13-14 Boys Smash National Record in 400 Medley Relay
The RMSC 13-14 Boys finally got together on Sunday night at the 2009 Speedo Championship Series.  The team of Garrett Powell (51.79), Colin Stanhope (1:02.80), Jack Conger (50.99), and Matt Gibson (48.37) clocked a 3:33.95 in the final event of the meet to take the national age group record by over a second.  Great Job Boys!

Two National Records Fall as RMSC Brings Home Another Junior Olympic Championship
RMSC swimmers set two National Age Group records as continued to hold onto the PVS 14 & Under Junior Olympic team championship in another great weekend of swimming.  On Saturday, the 10 & Under Girls 200 Medley Relay team of Eliya Harnood, Dorit Song, Sydney Kirsch, and Claudia Gibson swam a time of 2:02.82.  Then on Sunday evening, Jack Conger established a new standard in the 13-14 Boys 200Y Backstroke of 1:46.82.  Special Congratulations also Dorit Song (10 & Under Girls), Harrison Gu (11-12 Boys) and Jack Conger (13-14 Boys) for capturing individual high point awards for their age groups.  The top 5 team scores are listed below:

RMSC Mini's Defend Their Title As Well!
RMSC 8 & Under swimmers successfully defended their team championship title at the 2009 Mini Championships.  The RMSC Mini's have won this championship every season that the meet has been scored. The final team scores were:

Sue Chen Selected to Coach USA National Junior Team
RMSC Coach Sue Chen has been selected to serve as an assitant coach with the USA Swimming National Junior Team.  She will be helping the top US swimmers ages 18 & under as the prepare for and compete this spring in Vancouver, BC.  The entire RMSC program is both proud of Sue and honored by the selection.
