About Rockville Villages

Illustration of diverse people holding hands in concentric circles, with the text "Rockville Villages" on the right side.

Villages — local, volunteer-led, grassroots organizations — foster social connections through activities and events, and coordinate volunteer help at home using a neighbor-helping-neighbor model.

Each village is unique and reflects the character, interests, and needs of the community that creates it. The village leadership decides what it would offer and how it would operate.

Villages are started by residents. To find out if there is a village developing in your neighborhood or how to get one started, contact Trish Evans, villages facilitator, at 240-314-8807 or tevans@rockvillemd.gov.
