The Rockville Farmers Market has exhausted this year’s funds for the Maryland Market Money program.
Therefore, we will not be able to match SNAP/EBT & FMNP transactions (up to $5) for the rest of the 2019 farmers market season beginning this Saturday, November 9th.
We greatly appreciate the support from the Maryland Farmers Market Association in helping provide greater access to fresh fruits and vegetables for our community.
The City of Rockville accepts EBT cards at the Saturday Farmers Markets. The City of Rockville will match up to $5 of EBT benefits in $1 Market tokens.
EBT card users can use their card to buy $1 tokens, and get up to $5 matching tokens to buy fruits, vegetables, meat, cheese, dairy and bread directly from the farmers and vendors at the market. This is part of the Eat Fresh Maryland program to expand access to fresh fruits and vegetables at farmers markets.
The Market accepts Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP), the Women, Infant, and Children Fruit & Vegetable Check Program (WIC FVC), and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly known as Food Stamps).
