The Rockville-Montgomery Swim Club (RMSC) is one of the largest and most successful swimming teams in the United States. Located just outside Washington, DC in Montgomery County, Maryland, the RMSC currently has over 85 coaches working with over 2,000 swimmers at five practice sites. The team is operated as a joint program between the City of Rockville Recreation and Parks Department and the Montgomery County Recreation Department.
As a member club of United States Swimming (USS), the RMSC complies with pertinent sections of the nationally recognized Minor Athlete Abuse Protection Policy (MAAPP).
Registration Information and Practice Schedules
Review the Spring–Summer 2026 Program Information Packet for club information, practice schedules, and fees, including updated procedures for RMSC Parents’ Club payments. Plan ahead by completing the RMSC Swim Team Registration Form. A list of planned practice cancellations and changes will be updated throughout the season.
Returning swimmers should register for the upcoming season before the registration due date listed in the program information packet. Tryout opportunities have concluded for new swimmers for the spring–summer 2026 season. Current swimmers at other RMSC practice sites or other year-round USS club swimmers interested in transferring to the RMSC Rockville location should contact Dave Greene, head coach, at 240-314-8755 or dgreene@rockvillemd.gov to discuss.
All swimmers who register by the published deadlines will receive a team suit, t-shirt, and swim cap included with their registration fees. Review the swimsuit sizing chart to select the correct size (to be noted on the registration form). Review the how-to guide developed to assist swimmers and families with learning the process of entering a swim meet.
The City of Rockville believes that everyone, regardless of income, should be able to participate in its recreation opportunities. The Recreation and Parks Department facilitates participation by offering financial assistance to city residents through recreation financial assistance programs.
