About Apply for a Community Services and Enrichment Grant

The City of Rockville provides grants annually to local organizations that partner with the city to support community services and enrichment programs that benefit city residents and visitors.

In an effort to be more efficient and streamlined, the Human Services Nonprofit Grant and Community Organization Grant Programs have been combined to form the Community Services and Enrichment Grant Program.

The amount of funding for the combined grant program will be approximately $1.5 million.
Approximately 40 applicants are typically awarded. The FY 2027 grant application period will open on Sept. 8, 2025 and the application deadline is Oct. 17, 2025.

How to Apply

Review the Requirements

Only nonprofit organizations that provide human services or community enrichment programs to individuals residing in the corporate city limits of Rockville are eligible to apply. View the eligibility quiz and grant application requirements.

View the required and recommended list of outputs and outcomes by service area. list of outputs and outcomes by service area. These outputs and outcomes will be submitted in the online grant portal. Successful grant candidates will be asked to report this data quarterly

Attend a Virtual Technical Session

Register for and attend one of the following virtual technical sessions:

Complete the Application

Start the application process by visiting the online grant portal and clicking the “Create New Account” button to set up your login credentials. Click the “Apply” button and complete the Eligibility Form to determine if your organization qualifies for this grant. Complete the application and submit it by 11:59 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, 2025.

Submit All Required Materials

Upload the following required documents with your application in the online grant portal:

  • Audit, financial statement, or compilation for most recent completed operating year.
  • IRS Form 990 for most recent completed operating year.
  • Board roster identifying officers, term limits, addresses, and phone numbers.
  • Report from the last formal and/or informal evaluation of the program (if applicable).
  • Document of application submission authority signed by the executive director and
    board president, using your own organization’s letterhead. View an example of what this document should look like here.
