Apply for a Fire Protection Permit

Fire Protection Permit applications must be submitted electronically through MGO Connect. Review, markups, comments, and approval stamps will be made electronically. Permit fees are to be paid online. Once paid, the permit and plans will be emailed to the applicant or uploaded to MGO Connect. Fire inspections are required for any construction project for which a Fire Protection Permit is required and should be scheduled through MGO Connect. To schedule a fire inspection related to a Fire Safety License, visit the Schedule a Fire Inspection page.

Application Requirements

• Plans and supporting documents must be in PDF format.
• File names should reflect the file’s content (i.e., “123_Main_Street_Application” or “123_Main_Street_Plans”).
• PDFs should be unlocked and fully editable. All digital signatures must be approved or flattened prior to submission so as not to interfere with the plan review code compliance markups on the plans.
• Send separate documents for plans, specifications, and calculations. All plan pages should be combined into one document.
• Maximum file size is 25 MB.
