Join the Mayor and Council, City Manager Jeff Mihelich, and the Twinbrook Swimming Pool Board for the unveiling of the historical marker recognizing the Twinbrook Swimming Pool.

The Olympic-sized swimming pool — one of the largest privately owned pools in the region — opened in 1955 through a grassroots community effort. Built largely by community members, including many returning World War II veterans, the pool has been an anchor of the Twinbrook neighborhood for more than 70 years and a summer gathering place for thousands of Rockville families.
